Data reported by the U.S. Department of Energy, Alternative Fuels Data Center, Station Locator on March 26, 2021 indicate that there are 25 states with at least 1,000 non-residential electric vehicle (EV) charging units (public and private).
Colorado ranks 8th with 3,404 stations, while California maintains a clear lead with close to 37,000 units, followed by New York, Florida, and Texas, which reported over 4,000 units each.
